Estex Home Fashions was founded in New York by Harun and Jack Shamosh Imir in 1993. The Shamosh-Imir family has been in the textile business for over four generations dating back to their birthplace in Turkey. Over time they have honed their skills and have accumulated a breadth of knowledge on all types of fabrics and manufacturing techniques.

Their humble beginnings started off in the small city of İskenderun, Turkey. Harun operated a small shop in the center of the city, from which they sold all types of fabrics. Even from a young age Jack loved joining his father in the store and helping out in any way he can. Harun taught his son the basics of running a business.

In the early 1980’s Jack moved to New York and opened up a retail store in the Bronx. Using the knowledge he learned while in Turkey Jack was able to grow the business and succeeded in opening up several more retail locations. Eventually Jack felt he could find more success on the wholesale side of things and opened up Estex Home Fashions in the early 90’s.

Estex Home started by importing home textiles from Turkey with distribution to retail stores in the US. Harun contributed by helping Jack find more product resources in their native Turkey and the business found success. Eventually Harun moved to New York and joined the company full time.

Today, Estex Home Fashions is a well-known importer and distributor of home textiles ranging from bedding, bath items, window curtains, sheet sets, and kitchen textiles among others. Estex sells to major retailers in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and South America. With offices in New York and China we have designers working constantly to innovate and develop new product. Our state of the art distribution center is located in Brooklyn, NY and is fully staffed to adequately help all of our retail partner needs.
